THIS UNCHARTED WORLD

Curiosity is a good place to start.

This Uncharted World brings a traveller’s curiosity to Christchurch, one walk and one story at a time.

From travel stories to city streets

This Uncharted World began as a place for Barnaby and Jo to share their travels. Their published story describes years in Thailand and an interest in photography, video and seeing places beyond the obvious.

The Christchurch walking-tour project carries that curiosity into a guided afternoon on foot: notice the details, connect the places, and leave with a better feel for the city.

A route shaped by walking it

The Ultimate route has been walked and retimed repeatedly. Its current listed duration is three hours over 5.5 km, with a clear meeting point at Tūranga and a finish at the Bridge of Remembrance.

We would rather give you useful details than promise that a walk suits everyone. Read the route, inclusions and practical information, and ask before booking if something matters to your visit.

The operator

The walking tours are operated by Living Lettuce Limited, trading as This Uncharted World. Our terms, cancellation policy and privacy policy explain the booking relationship and how enquiries and personal information are handled.
